The Greatario water towers in Midhurst were built in 1986 and were the first glass-fused-to-steel tanks built in Ontario. Over the past 30+ years those tanks quietly supplied water to the surrounding community. Since the tanks were tucked away from sight, they had become the victim of graffiti.
The township determined it was time for an exterior cleaning; some of the only maintenance the tanks have required in 30+ years. Over the course of approximately 10 days, a small crew of technicians cleaned the tank and removed all traces of the graffiti. Once completed, the blue glass shines in the sunlight like it did back in 1986.

- Inspect exterior of tank for hidden damage if present
- 30+ year old tanks which have required minimal maintenance
